A contract protects both the buyer and the breeder, but the contract is really only as good as the honesty of both parties. When choosing a breeder, don't be afraid to ask questions. A good breeder will want only the best homes for her kittens, and a buyer should want only the best breeder!
We cannot guarantee against FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) because it is very difficult to eliminate the corona virus. The coronoa virus itself is harmless. If your veterinarian suggests you have an "FIP" test run on your kitten, please bear in mind that there is NO test for FIP! The testing done only tests for the presence of the corona virus. In most cats, it will never mutate and develop into FIP. It is still unknown why some cats will get FIP which is always fatal. Those most likely to get FIP are kittens and young adults up to 2 years of age, although it can also become a possibility in a cat of any age.
If your kitten dies of confirmed FIP (a necropsy must be done after death), Kimand will replace the kitten as soon as one becomes available.
